Destroyed during the Wars of Religion in the 16th century, Porte des Chanoines refers to the communities of Augustinian Canons who lived in Saint-Émilion for centuries. Hence, it was only natural to use its name for one of the 4 Suites in Maison de la Cadène, itself at the heart of the village’s history.
Subtle and elegant, the Porte des Chanoines suite combines a loft feel with the classic charm of blond stone and exposed beams. In the sitting room, the large sofa and club armchairs are an invitation to relax. The adjacent bedroom, with its bed nestled under the sloping ceiling, and the large bathroom with its terracotta floor tiles, offer all the charm and comfort befitting the tradition of a large family home.
